The Nutrition Nazi, Ruined Floors, and other Calamities

I have been so busy and have so many things to tell you all! Last week I saw the endocrinologist again, and she upped the dose of the Humulin to 14 units at night. I think this has been working pretty good. The Obstetrician also saw me again last week, but it was a quick 5-minute appointment. He felt my belly, asked a few questions, and said everything was fine. No sonogram, but I did hear the heartbeat again.

We moved into our house July 1st. What a mess! The floors were ruined, and I already have plans to replace all the floors in the house. Luckily, that was the extent of the damage by the renter. They delivered our items that were in storage and a small air shipment of bathroom items. There sure wasn't much. I just found out today that our big shipment of furniture and other household effects from Greece never left Greece. They supposedly have a strike at the port and who knows now when all my stuff will get here! Gotta love life...

I saw a dietitian yesterday, but it was a little frustrating. She wants to cut my portions down and keep me on a 2,000 calorie a day diet. So basically my snack would be like half a banana. Hmmm. I might splurge and eat a whole banana, just to be a rebel. Let's see how it goes, but I'm not optimistic I'll be able to eat just one cup of rice or pasta at a meal.

So, no, today has not been a good day. I feel great, no movement yet, belly is getting big. It measured 49.5 inches.
