I'm excited because this site gives me more flexibility and creative freedom. It looks different, but all my original journal entries are still here. They are archived by month, for easy reference. The first page you see has the most recent entries by date.
This site also forces me to use my brain more. I have to dabble in HTML code and steal stuff off other people's websites in order to improve this one. In fact, I liked a friend's blog so much, it inspired me to find and build a better site. If she can do it and she has four (!!!) kids, I can at least try. Thanks Mad! (Her blog is Academom)
I have uploaded the latest Ultrasound photos for weeks 12 and 19. Oooh, check out the ultrasound for Week 19 - 2. You can see the face! I think she has my beautiful features...
Why is it called a "Blog"? It comes from Web Log, which became weblog, and if you're hip and cool, is now just referred to as Blog. It is a form of a journal, but blogs can also be used to sell stuff, as forums, as installation art, and anything else people can come up with.
Let me give you some tips. If something is underlined, you can usually click on it and it will link you to another page. Like "Academom" and "Week 19 - 2" above. I will occasionally do this to show you something of interest. To the left side of the page you will see several links. The Ultrasound links are by pregnancy week and will take you to a photo of the ultrasound. Recent posts are just that, the last entries I have written. In Archives you can find all the entries I made on the old website. At the bottom of each entry, there is a "Comments" link for people to make comments about a particular journal entry or I guess a general comment. This comment is public and everyone can see it so please be tasteful or at least be aware you may be embarrassed if someone reads it. Or I will be embarrassed, which is worse.
Eventually I will include links to the Baby registry so many people have asked me about and haven't completed yet. I will post more photos either inside the journal entry or as a link on the side, as soon as I get some flattering ones.
