Happier Times in Spain

I found this photo. It was taken in Seville, Spain, exactly a week after we found out the big news. We were excited, giddy, scared, overwhelmed, shocked, everything at once. I feel these were happier times. We knew nothing about moving back to DC, we still had plenty of money in the bank, we were still living the life. I had quit smoking, so I had a terrible cold and a runny nose with lots of phlegm, and I was still in withdrawal. My stress level was very low; stress? what stress?
And Adal was going to start his journey through the Camino de Santiago, something he had wished for a long time. He was sooo happy to be in Spain.
And now, well, our happiness is different. Our happiness comes from the anticipation of this incredible event everyone tells us will change our life, of things to come, of new experiences. We are merely waiting to be happy again...
